Fest'Napuan 2007 the "best-fest-yet"!
Widely regarded as the best-fest-yet, Fest’Napuan2007, in its twelfth edition, has delivered possibly the biggest and most professional production in Vanuatu’s 27-year modern history. Saralana Stage was bursting at the seams on each of the four days.
 
Overseas bands to perform at Fest'Napuan 2007
The Fest’Napuan Association has confirmed the overseas artists to perform at Fest’Napuan2007. Headlining will be “The Black Seeds” from Aotearoa, "The Whitehouse" from Sydney, South American folk group “Inka Marka” from Melbourne, "Jazz Quartet de Noumea" from New Caledonia and "The Unique Family" from the Solomon Islands
 
Vanuatu music for sale on-line
The Fest’Napuan Association and Vanuatu Online are proud to announce the launch of a new website for the distribution of Vanuatu music. This is the first Vanuatu website to sell digital versions of songs from Vanuatu in mp3 format. The website is viewable at www.vanuatumusic.com.
 
Sero Kuautonga exhibition
From the 7th to the 11th of May 2007, Sero Kuautonga staged a solo exhibition of 13 of his most recent paintings, done after his return from his artist-in-residency at the Centre Culturel Tjibaou in Noumea in February and March 2007, at l’Espace Culturel de l’Ambassade de France on the main street of Port Vila
 
Vanlal launch their second album, “Situation”
Vanlal hail from Van Melang Eria, Central Pentecost. They first appeared as the surprise packet of Fest’Napuan 2004 in which they stunned the audience with a powerful on-stage presence including traditionally dressed dancers and an energetic performance. Their first album is called “Vanbibi” and has some tracks in the language of Central Pentecost.
 
Kalja Riddim Klan recording new album "Long taem bifo"
Kalja Riddim Klan is a group comprised of story-tellers, a novelist and cultural animators. They are currently recording their first album while also being involved in various side projects.
 
Fest'Napuan 2006
Fest’Napuan2006 took place from the 5th until the 8th of October. Now in its eleventh year, the Fest’Napuan is recognised nationally as the premier cultural event of the year and in terms of numbers of people attending, this annual four-day outdoor music concert is the biggest event of any kind in Vanuatu
 
Young Ni-Vanuatu artists participate in Indonesian cultural program
Thierry Moli-Toa and Nikiatu Kuautonga, two young ni-Vanuatu artists, participated in the 2006 Indonesian Art and Culture Scholarship Program, in which they took part in arts programs in some of the best art institutes in Indonesia
 
Fest'Napuan2005 report to sponsors
Each year, the Fest'Napuan Committee produces a report on the previous year's Fest'Napuan event. This report is especially aimed at sponsors, to show how their money and in-kind contributions were used to produce the event. The report for Fest'Napuan2005 was finally approved by the Committee in late July 2006
 
Ralph Regenvanu completes “artist-in-residency” at the British Museum
Ralph Regenvanu, the Director of the Cultural Centre, was invited to participate - in his personal capacity as an artist - in the artist-in-residence program at the British Museum as part of the Melanesia Art Project in the month of May 2006
