To assist the Vanuatu Cultural Centre with it's important role of preserving and promoting cultural customs and practices in Vanuatu, the Vanuatu Cultural Centre has a network comprising of Fieldworkers from all the different island in Vanuatu. One of the main duties for each fieldworker is to promote cultural and customary practices and to preserve them using the Vanuatu Cultural Centre to store and safe keep tangible and non-tangible information items about their custom and culture.

A workshop is held annually to train these fieldworkers in methods and ways to enable them to efficiently preserve and promote the indigenous knowledge they have in their individual areas.
