Nasonal Miusium i gat wan niufala eksibisen - ol infomesen mo artifak long saed blong "Wol Wo II" mo "Kondominiam". The National Museum and our Exhibition Team are proud to present to you our latest addition - 'World War II' and the 'Condominium' in Vanuatu. The Exhibition Team have responded to numerous visitor requests for more information and artifacts in relation to this fascinating period in Vanuatu's history.

The display, coordinated by Isabelle Petri and Brigitte Laboukly under the watchful eye of Curator Jimmy Kuautonga, incorporates a selection of photos and objects from our archives. We share with you a number of rifles, pistols, knives and bullets which were left on Efate Island at the end of the war in the Pacific. Condominium items such as 'native identity cards', driver's licenses, voting cards, helmets and official uniforms of this joint governing period by the French and British are on display. These objects are complemented by excellent photographs from our archives that assist our visitors in imagining life in Vanuatu during these interesting times.
