National Policy on Filming in Vanuatu
All film making (including video) in Vanuatu falls under the jurisdiction of the National Film and Sound Unit of the Vanuatu Cultural Centre, which must be notified of any film making activity in the country.
 
Réglementation De La Recherche Culturelle Au Vanuatu
Le Conseil Culturel National du Vanuatu est responsable de la recherche au Vanuatu selon le chapitre 186, 6(2)(e) des Lois de la République du Vanuatu. Le rôle du Conseil Culturel National est de définir et de mettre à exécution les règles nationales de recherche (y compris celles esquissées dans ce document), de définir également les priorités nationales en matière de recherche, et de promouvoir, régler et mettre en oeuvre les programmes de recherche.

Le Centre Culturel du Vanuatu est le bras exécutif du Conseil Culturel National et est responsable de l’application de ces règles.

Du fait de sa fonction régulatrice, le Conseil Culturel National déterminera l'opportunité de toute entreprise de recherche sur un sujet culturel menée par un étranger au Vanuatu.

The Vanuatu Cultural Research Policy
The Vanuatu National Cultural Council is responsible for cultural research in Vanuatu under chapter 186, 6(2)(e) of the Laws of the Republic of Vanuatu. It is the role of the National Cultural Council to define and implement national research policies (including those outlined in this Policy), to define national research priorities, and to sponsor, regulate and carry out programs of research.

The Vanuatu Cultural Centre is the executing arm of the National Cultural Council, and is responsible for implementing this Policy.

As part of its function to regulate research, the National Cultural Council will determine whether it is desirable that a foreign national undertake research on a cultural subject in Vanuatu.
 
Vanuatu participates in panel addressing protection of traditional knowledge at WIPO
Ralph Regenvanu, Director of the Vanuatu Cultural Centre, participated in a panel of local and indigenous communities addressing the 9th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC) of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) on the 24th of April 2006 at the WIPO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland
